

Usher Clothing Line Debut Delayed

"I'm building a lifestyle brand and I'm not rushing to do clothes," said the R&B crooner to the AP. "I feel like I'm speaking to my customers now with the fragrances, and in this economy and with my style and attention to detail, my clothes won't come cheap. It's not the right time." As far inspiration for the line, Usher says his taste have been developed by the different lifestyles he has been exposed in his travels. "I always go out and embrace where I am - I don't stay locked up in a hotel room. I am an eclectic spectator." The singer whose real name is Usher Raymond IV, also recently delayed the release of his sixth solo album, Raymond vs. Raymond. The album, which is expected to delve into the details behind his highly-publicized divorce with Tameka Forster, was originally scheduled for a December 21 release, but has been pushed back to March 1, 2010. A spokesperson for Usher defended the delay, telling Billboard: "This is a solid album that we believe in. We want to give it a proper launch." Ne-Yo, Anthony Hamilton, Adam Levine, and The Neptunes have reportedly collaborated with Usher on the album. - By Sharniece Moore |
